Annette Funicello (born Annette Funicello) was an American actress, singer. She was most well-known as one of Mickey Mouse Club's "Mouseketeers". Her career in singing began when she was an teenager. Annette was brought up by Italian immigrants from Utica in her early years and is an extremely timid person. In an effort to create a name for herself in the world of entertainment, she began to dance and act. The mid-1950s saw her appeared in several 'Disney' sketches as one of the "Mouseketeers" which earned her significant fame. Annette's 'Disney persona was shed after she turned an adult and began playing adult roles. Her most famous role is being one of the early actors who introduced the genre "beach parties". Her roles included "Pajama Parties", 'How to stuff a wild bikini", and "Beach Party'. Her music albums were released periodically.
